Billy In The Low Ground: Melodic Banjo Lesson

G’day! In this banjo lesson, we’ll take a look at a melodic arrangement of Billy in the Low Ground. Played in the key of C, the banjo is tuned in standard G tuning. We’ll also take a look at a number of ways to play the C Major scale in this tuning, in a melodic style, open position and box pattern.

#1 – In the first lesson we’ll take a look at part A of Billy in the Low Ground and learn an ascending melodic C Major scale.

#2 – In the second lesson we’ll take a look at part B of Billy in the Low Ground and learn 3 more ways of playing the notes of the C Major scale in standard G tuning. (Descending melodic, open position and an up the neck box pattern).

The first video lesson is available free below.
