Auld Lang Syne is a traditional Scottish song, traditionally sung to farewell the old year at the stroke of midnight on New Years Eve. In this banjo lesson, we’ll learn two variations, the basic melody played in a melodic style, plus a chord melody variation, played up the neck (advanced). In the key of G (standard tuning), both variations sound great on the banjo. The chord melody version also works nicely without accompaniment.
