In this course, we’ll cover a way of looking at the fretboard that is beneficial in building your knowledge of melody & harmony. By learning the neck with triads, you’ll look at the fretboard in a completely new way, giving you an awful lot of choice & freedom in your playing. This knowledge can be used in many different ways, such as, lead/improvisation, harmony, rhythm, creating additional guitar parts, etc. It really is a game changer!
In this second part of the course, we’ll cover the major triads found on strings 2, 3 & 4, with a focus on the key of D and the 1 4 5 chords – D G A. We’ll breakdown the interval structure of the triads, look at where to find the b3 blue note, cover the pentatonic ‘box’ patterns/scales found at each triad position, plus analyse the example solo that features everything we learn in this lesson. Dig in to this lesson, you won’t regret it!
