In this lesson, we’ll take a look at a Celtic fingerstyle arrangement of Road To Lisdoonvarna. It is a traditional Irish Single Jig in the key of Em (dorian), sharing the same key signature as D (F# & C#). The left hand note combinations are relatively straight forward, but is quite a challenge for your right hand! As part of this lesson we’ll look at the advanced fingerstyle techniques required to fluently play the tune.

The full lesson is available to members, which includes:

  • 2 video lessons;
  • The PDF tab & notation for the entire break;
  • Plus MP3 play-along tracks for 3 tempos.

Premium membership gives you access to all video lessons, tabs & charts!

The PDF tab & notation only is also available to purchase separately below:

    Your lessons are great. I like the posted tableture along with going over the difficult parts with practice examples and tips not just telling me where to put my fingers for each note. Your explanations are clear and concise, you are easy to understand and you have great enthusiasm. I’m not good by any means but picked up this song in an afternoon thanks to your explanation. The only suggestion I would have is to include chord diagrams and maybe some transition advice for us newbies. Subscribed thanks to this video.

    It’s my 4th day ever playing guitar and you are a great teacher and have made it fun for me, so far I have part A down, now to learn part B 🙂
