In this Celtic fingerstyle guitar lesson we’ll take a look at a pretty arrangement of the Traditional Irish tune, The Munster Cloak. The tune is in the key of G Major and we are in standard tuning. The time signature we are in is 3/4 (three quarter note beats per measure), also commonly known as waltz time.
This arrangement is for the intermediate student. There are some standard, open position chords to start out in Part A, then moving up the neck in Part B, but with simple chord positions. There are a variety of basic articulation used in the melody and the right-hand uses a pretty stock standard fingerstyle technique.
