As part of the lesson series covering arpeggios, this piece in the key of Dm, Arpeggio Study No.1, focuses on covering minor, major & dom7 arpeggios, found in the open position & up the neck. While the piece uses arpeggios exclusively, there is also an important focus on left-hand position & right-hand picking technique.
With a classical feel, part A is in Dm, while part B modulates into the relative major, F Major, before returning to Dm for the repeat of part A. This lesson is for the more advanced picker, as the technique required to cover all the position changes is quite demanding. It is also important that you have a strong grasp on the arpeggio patterns used, as this will help you work through the study.
